Champions League winners Real Madrid are eyeing a summer move for Argentinean Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi as Cristiano Ronaldo's replacement, reports coming out of the Spanish capital suggest.

According to a UK Sun report citing news sources in Spain revealed that Los Blancos president Florentino Perez has assures club fans of big-name deals during the unveiling of young defender Alvaro Odriozola on Wednesday.

And the 25-year-old Inter Milan ace Icardi appears to suit the Galaticos hunt for a quality forward following his impressive seasons in the Italian topflight.

Last season, Icardi was the joint top scorer in the Serie A after equaling Ciro Immobile's 29 goals.

However, he was left out of the Argentina’s Albiceleste squad to the just concluded 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia reportedly not to footballing reasons.

The Los Blancos over the past hold Icardi in high esteem and Spanish news outlet Marca suggests the Santiago Bernabeu outfit are eager to table an offer following initial talk back in January.

Icardi who previously represented Sampdoria has netted 100 times from 159 appearances for Inter in Serie A and reportedly has a £98million release clause in his present deal.

The Los Blancos are equally eyeing a deal for Belgium star player Eden Hazard as they prepare to beat Barcelona to the Spanish league title in the coming season.

The Galaticos are optimistic they can also seal a £35.5m deal for his Chelsea team-mate Thibaut Courtois as well.

The Belgian captain has 24 months remaining on his current Chelsea deal but has refused penning an extension ahead of making a desired switch to the Santiago Bernabeu outfit this summer.
