Yaya Toure

Intense career of this Ivorian football player started in 1996 with the local ASEC Mimosas club. Back at that time he could not even dream of being listed among the richest world’s players 2015 with the per year earnings of over 20 million dollars.

Larger portion of this estate came from the club earnings, but over 3 million came from endorsements. In the Ivory Coast Toure is the icon. He has signed some very lucrative contracts with such top brands as Nissan and Puma.

Some of the first clubs of Toure were Belgian Beveren and Ukrainian Metalurh Donetsk. He has also played for Monaco and Barcelona. Presently he is the part of Manchester City club. He has become a national player in 2004. Ten years later he was upgraded to be the team’s captain. That was the year his team played 0-0 with Cameroon and won the hundredth international cap.

He was on the first team, which played its first World Cup Championship. Plus, four times he was called the best football player of Africa (2011-2014). In 2009 he was on board with Barcelona, when the team got 6 trophies in a row. Presently Milan football team is after him and there is the possibility of him moving to Italy later on this year.

Yaya Toure started playing when he was just 18 and now he is 32. Over the 11 years of Yaya Toure playing for the national Ivory Coast team, he has scored 19 goals. In 2011 he has scored the only goals of semifinals and finals on the FA Cup.

He is married with three kids. He is a Muslim and once even refused to play a game, because of his religious beliefs. In 2014 he got two nominations for prestigious awards. One was the Future Africa Awards for the Prize in Entertainment and the other one was MTV Africa Music Awards in the category Personality of the Year.

He has become UN ambassador and carried out elephant protection campaign. One of his brothers plays in Liverpool football team. His name is Kolo Toure. For a while brothers used to play together on Manchester City team.

His career in the team was noted by a large number of threats on his side to leave it. Eventually, this transfer might take place. There are chances he would end up in Milan or Chelsea club. At this Seria A might be a better place for him. The latest tests showed his pace slowed down considerably. Obviously, his age is taking a toll on him, but for now his career has been one of the most brilliant among African football players.
